This project was under the auspices of the chief fire officer for the City of London and had numerous safety requirements that needed to interface with the other building systems. -
Retrofitting Otis Lifts
We were asked to come up with products to replace “REM” that could utilise the existing wiring and fixings, and also carry out the BS EN81-28 functions, without deviating or changing the original design or compromising the “CE2 Standard” for the Otis lift.

This project had special significance regarding the clients insistence that the new system supplied by us should not change the design intergrity of the lift, the ce mark requirements and must use existing fixings and wiring.

This project enabled us to bespoke a system to adapt to the unique environment, the client wanted to have a fully compliant BS EN81-28 autodialler system with the added function of intercom from the two landing levels, to the car and the motoroom.

Docklands Light Railway
This intervention shaft was necessitated due to the long distance between stations on this extension to the docklands light railway, additionally we were contracted to supply autodiallers and communication systems to all the stations on this project.

This project involved multiple lifts in groups, the remit was to replace the existing Kone Konexion equipment with autodiallers that fully complied to all current legislation and could interface with the lift system using existing wiring and fixings, but importantly not interfere with the existing lift diagnostics, video links in the lift cars and communication to the security section.

The client did not want autodiallers on this site, but wanted an internal intercom system to all the lifts, different out stations and the security room.
